Homeowners Association
The Woodhaven Homeowners Association is a voluntary association of residents in the area indicated by the map below. For decades there were only the homes in the area known as “Woodhaven.” But since 2003, as families began arriving in the new Glenview Pointe development, they have been welcomed into WHA. WHA has no paid staff. We are an all-volunteer organization.
What WHA Does:
WHA publishes a newsletter approximately four times each year to keep our residents informed of events being planned by WHA, and of local issues that affect the neighborhood.
WHA maintains the Woodhaven sign at the Glenridge Road entrance.
WHA sponsors special events each year, including…
- a coordinated neighborhood garage sale each spring, where we provide advance advertising, and maps at the entrances to the neighborhood showing the locations of all participating households.
- a spring/summer potluck picnic. We have held this popular party at a variety of venues, for the past couple of years at one of the nearby swim clubs.
- a winter holiday party, primarily for the kids, featuring horse-drawn wagon rides around the neighborhood, and a festive party featuring refreshments, craft projects, and a visit from Santa. (Only once in recent years have the wagon rides been cancelled because of weather.)
WHA publishes a bi-annual directory of our residents, in which our members list, at their option, information about their families.
WHA cooperates with the Glenville Police Department’s Neighborhood Watch program. Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity or event to the police at once.
A team of Street Representatives distributes newsletters and other materials of interest to residents as circumstances require.
All of these services are provided by volunteers among your neighbors.
Volunteers are always welcome for ongoing committee work and special projects. Contact any officer or director.
Annual Dues (currently $7 per household) are used to cover costs of printing newsletters, maintenance of the sign, and of social functions noted above.
